Cardiff Sixth Form College has been top of the UK league tables for the past eight years and is highly regarded for its academic reputation. In 2017 92% of all students gained A*-A grades, 99% A*-B. The College also has tremendous success in getting students into top universities. With a strong careers department of seven counsellors, this year 37 students went onto study Medicine, 23 Engineering, 20 Economics and 10 Law at Russell Group and Ivy League universities. In 2017, 19 students gained places at Oxbridge, 26 to Imperial, 21 to LSE, 16 to UCL and 7 to Hong Kong University. As well as an A Level programme, Cardiff Sixth Form College also offers a one year GCSE course, one term short course and three summer schools: academic, Oxbridge Preparation and Medical Preparation.

  1. Brunel performed well in the annual rankings of UK universities produced by The Guardian and The Times, in part due to its strong performance in the Teaching Quality Assessment (where Brunel received a score of 20/24 or better for every subject assessed). The Guardian and The Times ceased using the TQA to compile their rankings (they use the National Student Survey results instead) and therefore Brunel had fallen in both rankings. However, the university regained its league position in 2012 partly due to improved student satisfaction and spending on students. As a result, it was ranked 39th in the Sunday Times University Guide. In the 2013 Guardian University Guide, the university's national ranking rose to 44th.

The University has grown significantly since it was granted its Royal Charter in 1966. During this time our teaching and research have developed to where the University is now divided into 5 academic Faculties which each have their own academics, facilities, and research centers.

We work with a number of partners in health and social care, as well as the Third Sector, to make sure that you learn from the best people possible, including leading academics, healthcare professionals and active researchers.
  13. Our Midwifery Studies and Nursing courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council(NMC).
  14. Our Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy courses are approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  16. Life Sciences: - 95%of our 2014 Archaeology and Archaeological Sciences graduates were in employment or further study within six months of graduating.

  20. Both our Pharmacy MPharm programmes have recently been fully reaccredited for the maximum period of six years by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Social Sciences: - Our Psychology and Psychology with Counselling undergraduate degrees are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Society with the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership. This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist and/or Practising Psychologist. - Our Social Work BA is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and relevant government departments. Brooke House College is a family run co-educational, international college for students aged 12-19, wishing to undertake their general secondary education within the British curriculum. Programmes include; General Key Stage 3 courses for the youngest pupils, our University Foundation Programme,  A-level courses and GCSE courses with a large range of academic subject choice. All are supported with Academic English if required.
