We have currently about 7 000 students studying at our five faculties. Our prime task at the university is to provide our students with the best employment prospects and equip them to become life-long learners. We strive to achieve this by providing excellent facilities, highly trained staff and strong partnerships with foreign educational institutions, and well-equipped laboratories.
Our campus is situated in the centre of the town. It has been designed with the students’ needs in mind and is equipped to provide up to the minute teaching and learning facilities. Dormitories are situated in the close neighborhood to the faculties buildings.

owners or executives of production and services companies recognizable in the country and abroad.
Graduates have knowledge of the design and construction of buildings for domestic, industrial, communication and civil use, design of the basic building objects and construction elements, technology and building organization, management teams and building companies, production, selection and use of building materials and techniques as well as modern computer technology in engineering practice. Graduates are prepared to manage the execution of all types of construction works, to participate in the design of public, industrial and communication buildings, to organize the production of building components, continuing self-education and professional development. Graduates are prepared to work for companies implementing supervision of construction, factories and concrete building elements, building materials production units and local governments in the construction and architecture sections.

Studies are designed to provide graduates the theoretical and practical knowledge in designing, manufacturing and maintenance of electrical equipment, automation, electronics and power electronics, computer technical support, computer and telecommunications systems of measurement (depending on specialty). A thorough technical knowledge gives him the opportunity to work in large or small factories, as well as setting up a business dealing with the distribution, execution and service.
Graduates obtain a knowledge of mechanics rules and skills necessary to understand the issues concerning the construction, manufacturing and maintenance machines, are able to design with modern computational tools. Graduates are prepared to implement the processes of manufacture, assembly and optimal operation of machines and technical equipment and modernization. They are able to efficiently use computer techniques. They also receive a fundamental knowledge in the area of management and economics, especially useful when running your own business. Graduates are prepared to work in many industries, especially in machine building industry, as well as design companies and other administrative and educational enterprises.
The programme involves the basic knowledge of mechanics and machine design, the knowledge of economics and management, investment, negotiations, logistics and marketing. Students acquire the knowledge of micro and macroeconomics, consulting and project designing. They learn how to become individual entrepreneurs or part of larger business organizations and use their knowledge as the new elite of computer and linguistically literate technocrats.
The Environmental Engineering graduates are well prepared to implement project work and perform contractor work, maintenance services, repair and construction work as well as manufacturing and trading tasks in all the areas of economy and administration. The substantial shortage of environmental engineers on the one hand, and the growing demand for environmental quality, the rising environmental standards and investment development on the other hand, all forecast promising employment prospects to the students of this field both in Poland and in other EU countries.
The Environmental Engineering graduates can benefit from the opportunity provided by the course curriculum, to apply for the builder’s licence in a wide range of specialist building works such as installation of HVAC systems, gas pipelines, water supply and sewage networks.
The educational objectives of the 1st-cycle academic programme in the field of Environmental Engineering are:
1. to equip students with basic engineering knowledge in the field of Environmental Engineering, required for the design, implementation and maintenance of devices, systems and technologies for water intake and distribution, sewage and sediment neutralisation and treatment, waste treatment, prevention of environmental degradation, as well as the design and installation of plumbing and sewage systems, water supply and sewage networks and HVAC systems,
2. to provide students with the skills to identify and resolve the basic environmental issues by means of analytical, simulation and experimental methods and to evaluate and critically reflect on the non-technical and economic outcomes of engineering practices; to enable students to develop competence in a foreign language at B2 level, to effectively employ the specialist language within the field of environmental engineering as well as to select and incorporate information from databases and professional resources,
3. to develop the graduates’ skills to work independently and collaboratively in municipal services departments, design offices, environmental protection divisions in industries, local and central administration bodies, universities and research institutes as well as directly in project implementation,
4. to prepare the 1st-degree graduates to transfer to the 2nd-cycle programme.
